California has a state park which encompasses the mining ghost town of Bodie. Bodie seems to be stuck in time. There are amazing buildings that still have furniture and other items left in the building. We spent close to five hours wandering around looking at the buildings and taking a tour through the stamp mill which is still intact. The mines around the town produced massive amounts of gold and silver until the 1900s. Only about 5 % of the town is left in this mountain valley. It was an interesting adventure.
